Key Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and optimize Power BI dashboards and reports to support business decision-making
- Transform raw data into actionable insights using Power Query and DAX
- Design efficient data models with proper relationships, hierarchies, and calculated measures
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting layers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored BI solutions
- Test, validate, and document reports, formulas, and visualization logic
Must-Have Skills
- Strong expertise in Power BI Desktop, dashboards, and report development
- Advanced working knowledge of DAX functions and Power Query
- Experience in data modeling (tabular and multidimensional models)
- Proficiency in SQL and working with structured datasets
- Ability to implement Row Level Security (RLS)
- Experience testing and validating BI reports for accuracy and performance
- Good communication skills to interact with business users and SMEs
Good to Have
- Experience integrating Power BI reports into applications or portals
- Exposure to data warehouses and warehouse-compatible BI models
- Knowledge of custom visuals and visualization best practices
- Experience working with application developers on BI solutions
- Familiarity with cloud BI environments (Azure, AWS, or similar)
- Understanding of BI governance, performance tuning, and optimization
